Your Questions, Answered

  • We do not offer sample collection; however, we provide you with the appropriate sampling bottles and step-by-step instructions to guide you through collecting to submit perfect samples.

  • For soil and water testing, results will be issued to your email when the tests are paid and completed. If you have purchased multiple tests we will send you all of your results in one batch.

    For porcine qPCR testing we will send the results directly to you and/or your veterinarian’s email address once completed.

  • Yes! Our goal is to make testing available to anyone who has a need for our services, not just farms, vets, and businesses. There is some light paperwork involved however so please make sure you are completing the correct documentation required. If you have any questions about the forms please don’t hesitate to reach out to our knowledgeable staff. It’s easy.

  • When you order your water sample kit our staff will provide you with specific sampling containers for each test and step-by-step instructions on how to collect a perfect sample. If you are missing instructions, please contact us so we can assist you.

  • Depending on the specific test you’ve ordered you may receive different instructions, but generally samples need to be delivered to us within 24 hours from collection. After collecting the sample, you want to keep them cool so store them in the fridge or a cooler with an ice pack during transport to our lab. You can also mail samples in styrofoam coolers with ice packs. Call for more details if you are unsure if your test requires refrigeration.

  • We currently receive samples from across Canada and are happy to be able to offer our services outside of our home province. If you are wanting to ship samples to us from outside of Manitoba, please keep in mind shipping timelines. Depending on the sample it may not arrive to the lab within the designated timeframe or under the right conditions, which may affect the results. We recommend express shipping through established couriers such as Purolator or FedEx. Call for more details if you are unsure.

  • For porcine qPCR testing if your sample was received by our lab by 11:00 am CDT, Monday-Friday, you will receive your results by the end of the same day. If your sample was received later than 11:00 am, you can pay a rush fee for same-day processing, or it will be processed the following business day.

    Water and soil results will vary depending on the tests being run. An estimate turnaround time will be provided during the purchasing process. If you’ve purchased multiple tests we will send you all the results together.

  • Water, soil and animal samples should be kept in a cooler with an ice pack after collection and during transport to maintain a stable refrigerated tempurature.

  • Sampling kits can be ordered online, in person at our location, or over the phone. For online orders your payment will be processed at the time of order. Phone orders must be paid prior to or at time of pick-up or mailing of sampling kit. In-person orders must be paid at the time of order before your sampling kit is given to you. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
